If it’s anything like the States, you have to have insurance where you RESIDE - no matter WHAT your license says - and if you lie about your address, it could cause you problems come claims time!

Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!

You cannot just change to a friend’s address. The insurance companies aren’t stupid, they have seen this trick a million times before and they know how to handle it. It would be considered insurance fraud and it might even void your policy, which would basically be as good as not having insurance at all.

Move to Quebec. Or you could get an address there and lie, but if you’re caught your insurance might be null and void. Not worth it.

All the best to you.
